MONT Solar Powered Ventilation System
The MONT Solar Powered Ventilation System is designed to control the temperature in your greenhouse during the hot and cooler months. Most plants will not flower and fruit at temperatures over 85 degrees. To get them to flower temperature control is key.
Our commercial fan, exhaust louvers, and commercial thermostat are all made in the USA and our solar panel can produce more than 2 times the needed power to operate the fan at 100%, allowing for future options such as lighting and heating. The MONT Solar Ventilation System allows for off the grid operation, getting power to your greenhouse where you need it.
The system is easily retrofitted to other non- MONT greenhouses as well. The system can easily be set-up to run through a deep cycle marine battery to allow for power on demand , with or without the suns power.

* Disclaimers: Adaptations might be needed when installed in ANY greenhouse. This fan can be installed in a polycarbonate greenhouse. The polycarbonate panel will need to be cut to make sure the fan fits properly. If you decide to put it in a glass greenhouse, you won't be able to cut the glass because it will shatter. We recommend using a lexan panel to fill the gaps. This can be purchased in a local store.

No. The system runs on solar power, so it works off the grid. It can also be set up to run through a deep cycle marine battery for power on demand, with or without the sun, and instructions for the battery powerpack set-up are included.
Will it work in a greenhouse that isn't a Monticello?
Yes, it can be retrofitted to other greenhouses. Some adaptation may be needed in any greenhouse: in a polycarbonate greenhouse, a panel has to be cut so the fan fits properly.
Can I install it in a glass greenhouse?
Glass can't be cut without shattering, so we recommend replacing a pane with a lexan panel, which you can buy at a local store, and fitting the fan into that.
Why does greenhouse ventilation matter so much?
Most plants won't flower and fruit at temperatures over 85 degrees. Controlling the temperature is the key to getting them to bloom.
Can the solar panel power anything else?
