Janssens is a Belgian manufacturer that designs and builds aluminum and glass greenhouses, best known for the Royal Victorian, Junior Victorian, Orangerie and Retro lines. Every model is made to be a permanent, beautiful part of the garden, with rot-proof aluminum frames, real glass and roof vents for airflow.
Exaco is the company that imports Janssens greenhouses into the United States and supports them here, so you get European craftsmanship with US-based service and parts.
Janssens greenhouses are premium aluminum and glass greenhouses made in Belgium and sold in the US through Exaco. They are best known for the Royal Victorian, a classic English-style glass house first introduced in 1999. Which Janssens greenhouse is right for you?
- Junior Victorian (J-VIC 23, 24, 25): compact 8 ft wide glass greenhouses with 5 ft side walls. Great first glass greenhouse.
- Royal Victorian (VI23, VI34, VI36, VI46): our best sellers. Tall walls, a steep roof and roof windows. Sizes run from 8 x 10 ft up to 13 x 20 ft.
- Retro Royal Victorian (VI34, VI36, VI46): the same footprints with narrow glass panes and decorative lower panels for a period look.
- Modern (M23, M34, M36): clean, sloping-roof glass greenhouses for contemporary homes.
- Orangeries and large houses: T-shaped orangeries, the Cathedral, the Gigant and the Arcadia lean-to that attaches to your home.
What makes Janssens different?
Most Janssens models use 4mm tempered safety glass held in rubber seals instead of metal clips, which helps keep drafts out. Vertical walls use single, full-height panes that do not trap dirt. Gutters and roof windows come standard on most models, and you can add hinged doors, shade cloths, fly screens and shelving.

Yes. Kits include a base frame, but you need a level, square foundation such as a concrete beam or block wall. Requirements vary by model, so check each product page or call us.
Can I upgrade the doors?
Yes. Many Royal Victorian owners swap the sliding doors for lockable hinged doors, especially when the greenhouse sits on a raised stem wall.
