Someone needs to be there to receive the delivery. The driver does most of the work but may need a hand.
Foundations and bases are bulky, so we recommend ordering them together with your greenhouse to avoid a separate freight charge.

There are four sizes, all 8' 8" wide with a 10 ft ridge: about 8x12 (108 sq ft), 8x16 (144.9 sq ft), 8x18 (163 sq ft) and 8x20 (181 sq ft). Choose the size in the options above.
Do the roof windows need power to open?
No. Every roof window has an automatic opener that opens at 71 degrees with no power needed. The louvered side windows open by hand.
How tall is it inside?
The side walls are 5' 7" high and the ridge reaches 10 ft, with a 45 degree roof pitch. The door opening is 2' 5" wide and 6' 7" high.
What comes with it?
Every size includes slatted shelving along one long side (a 12" two-slat shelf and a 20" four-slat shelf, top and bottom), gutters and downpipes on both sides, Victorian ridge cresting, aluminum bar capping and a lockable hinged door with keys.
How long will the cedar last?
It is built from Grade 1, knot-free Western Red Cedar from Canada that is dipped and sealed, sitting on an aluminum base frame that keeps the wood off the ground. Treated regularly, it is expected to last 30 to 40 years.
What warranty does the Cheltenham have?
Alton gives every Cheltenham a free 10-year framework guarantee. It covers the cedar frame against faulty manufacture, and against rot as long as you clean the greenhouse once a year. Moving parts are guaranteed for 12 months. Glazing, wind damage, labor and accidental damage are not covered.
Is shipping really free?
Yes. Shipping is free. Locations with limited access, such as islands, are rare exceptions that may carry an extra fee, and we'll tell you before anything ships.
Do you offer a price match?
