Product Description

Exaco Solar Powered Exhaust fan and Ventilation System

The Exaco solar powered exhaust fan is a boon for greenhouses, harnessing the sun’s energy to power its ventilation system. This eco-friendly solution reduces reliance on electrical power, cutting down on both energy costs and carbon emissions. Its self-sufficient operation, coupled with a thermostat-controlled environment, ensures optimal growing conditions for plants.

The fan’s easy installation and battery backup capability (battery not included) further enhance its appeal, offering a sustainable and cost-effective way to maintain a healthy greenhouse climate.

The  Exaco Solar Ventilation System allows for off the grid operation, getting power to your greenhouse where you need it.

The system is easily retrofitted to other non- Exaco greenhouses as well. The system can easily be set-up to run through a battery to allow for power on demand , with or without the suns power (especially during night time).

Why do you need a solar powered exhaust fan for your greenhouse?

Our own unit has been continuously running since installed in March 2023. These are specially made for us (for greenhouses) by factory producing attic exhaust fans for years (sold through all major retailers).

The Exaco solar powered exhaust fan offers several benefits, particularly for greenhouse environments:

  • 🌳Energy Efficiency: It operates entirely on solar power, which means it doesn’t require electricity from the grid. This can lead to significant energy savings and reduce the carbon footprint of the greenhouse operation.
  • 🌳 Cost-Effective: Since it’s powered by the sun, there are no ongoing electricity costs. After the initial investment, the fan operates at no additional cost. You can also attach other accessories (heater, lights etc) to run through solar power and also batteries (not included).
  • 🌳 Environmentally Friendly: Solar power is a clean, renewable energy source. Using this fan contributes to a reduction in greenhouse gas emissions.
  • 🌳 Easy Installation: The fan is designed for easy installation and doesn’t require complicated wiring.
  • 🌳 Temperature Regulation: With its thermostat controller, the fan helps maintain optimal temperatures within the greenhouse, which is crucial for plant growth and health.
  • 🌳 Versatility: The ability to change the airflow direction allows for flexibility in how the fan is used, whether it’s for bringing fresh air into the greenhouse or exhausting hot air out.
  • 🌳 Battery Backup: The option to connect batteries means the fan can continue to operate during periods of low sunlight (also during night time), ensuring continuous ventilation. The fan doesn't include batteries, however, it comes with a case for batteries.
  • 🌳 Durability: The fan comes with a lifetime warranty on its brushless motor, indicating a long-lasting, reliable product.

Overall, the Exaco solar powered exhaust fan is a sustainable and economical choice for maintaining the right climate in a greenhouse without relying on traditional power sources.

 * Disclaimers: Adaptations might be needed when installed in ANY greenhouse. This fan can be installed in a polycarbonate greenhouse. The polycarbonate panel will need to be cut to make sure the fan fits properly. If you decide to put it in a glass greenhouse, you won't be able to cut the glass because it will shatter. We recommend using a lexan panel to fill the gaps. This can be purchased in a local hardware store.
